Glitterbels celebrate with a party in the clouds, for the launch of the DreamCure Lamp, Getaway Collection, and Apparel Range.
On the 22nd of June, the Glitterbels team packed up all things pink and set out to the iconic Kimpton Clocktower hotel in Manchester, to get ready for their biggest event to date. This year’s event was centered around the arrival of their new DreamCure Lamp and trust me when I say Annabel and the team reached for the stars, to ensure everything was bigger, better, and dreamier than before. The Glitterbels DreamFest was like no other with the venue being decorated to look like something straight out of a fairytale.
At the launch party customers were able to shop the entire Glitterbels range, something that has never been done at previous events, as well as having the option to purchase the new DreamCure lamp at a discounted price, before it goes on sale to the public. The DreamCure lamp wasn’t the only thing that was new to the Glitterbels store. With the arrival of the new lamp also came the Glitterbels Getaway collection, a stunning range of 6 new Hema Free gel polishes, perfect for summer.
This dreamy event was the perfect party for any nail tech to attend, having educational talks held throughout the day by nail royalty, including Glitterbels’ very own Annabel Maginnis (@nails_by_annabel_m_). Marian Newman (@mariannewman) held a presentation on stage and at the events nail clinic, Alex Fox (@alexfoxlife_) spoke about the importance of competitions within the nail industry and helped host the 2nd annual Glitterbels Nail Boss Awards, and Charli Jepson (@charlijepson), Glitterbels Head of Education, shared her top tips on running a successful nail salon.
Forget silent discos, silent demos were the next big thing at the DreamFest event, hosted by a selection of Glitterbels ambassadors and educators, customers could grab a pair of headphones and tune into an art or application demonstration, without the distraction of music and other talks happening at the event. The Glitterbels team thought of everything.
This year's party was not shy of celebrity guests including Charlotte Crosby (@charlottegshore), Sophie Kasaei (@sophiekasaei_), and Chloe Ferry (@chloegshore1), from MTV’s Geordie Shore.
Maya Jama’s fabulous nail technician, Karen Tatiana (@karentatiana._) also attended, displaying her many talents on our demonstration stage.
The Glitterbels team have worked tirelessly for months to create the most amazing experience. On Sunday morning, team GB reconvened back at HQ to take a minibus to the event as well as the iconic pink Glitterbels Range Rovers. Excitement and eagerness filled the atmosphere as the team neared the venue.
There were so many gorgeous Instagram-worthy photo opportunities dotted around the event including an amazing ball pit inspired by the brand new Glitterbels Getaway Collection and a super fun 360° video booth paired with a range of Glitterbels props. There was also a Glitterbels community area where customers could get to know their peers and make new friends for life. They bonded over great products, shared tips, and techniques, and met new people in the nail community.
Dave the Glitterbels Unicorn stood tall at the venue entrance, to greet all our amazing customers, showing off his stunning pink hair with gel bottles, flowers, and a bejewelled saddle.
Another area that was new to this event was the Glitterbels testing lab, where customers could test our entire range of Acrylic Powder, Gel Polish, Unbelievabel Gel, Builder-Gel, and Loose Glitter for our customers to learn firsthand tips and tricks about our products from Glitterbels Pro-Ambassadors.
Annabel and Elliot took to the main stage to have a Q&A with Scratch Magazine followed swiftly by an educational talk regarding business techniques and national prices with Head of Education Charli Jepson and Glitterbels CFO Mac Maginnis.
Straight after this talk, we joined Annabel as she started creating the most stunning seashell nails for a special celebrity guest, star of ‘MTV’s Geordie Shore’ and ‘Charlotte in Sunderland’, Charlotte Crosby.
After a quick interval, the party continued on the main stage with an Interview from the fabulous Marian Newman. Talking all about troubleshooting, why choose Glitterbels, and directing customers to the Glitterbels nail clinic where customers could talk to Marian and gain knowledge about salon health and safety, product application, nail knowledge, and business information.
Our amazing Educator Adonia West then started to create her dreamy nails on another special celebrity guest Sophie Kasaei, from ‘MTV’s Geordie Shore’ who was joined by her boyfriend, ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star, Jordan Brook.
It was now time for The Nail Boss Awards, where our incredibly talented Glitterbels customers showed off their skills. We had a variety of categories including ‘Festival Design’ gel design, ‘Truly Glitterbels’ acrylic design, ‘Box of Dreams’ boxed nail art, and ‘Pink and White’ classic nails. To ensure that each contestant can enjoy the event amenities to the fullest, we decided to host this year’s Nail Boss Awards online and announce the winners at the event. This allowed contestants to enjoy their time at the event, listening to our educational talks and trying out all the new things Glitterbels has to offer, having submitted their work a week prior.

From one exciting competition to the next, we then went on to announce the winners of the biggest Glitterbels giveaway ever! Over 5K of Glitterbels products.
It was now time for our final celebrity guest, Glitterbels ambassador, and star of ‘MTV’s Geordie Shore’s, Chloe Ferry to have her nails done by the fabulous Jess Swinburn.
The day was a raving success and the whole of team GB had a fabulous time meeting all our amazing customers. After months of endless planning and organising, it was rewarding to finally relax and enjoy this amazing event that was simply a festival to remember.
