What is the Glitterbels Nail Boss Competition?
The Glitterbels Nail Boss Competition is a showcase and celebration of the talent, creativity, and innovation of the Glitterbels community. The competition was started in 2023, at the Glitterbels Hema Free Builder-bel Gel Launch Party and we have decided to make it an annual event.
The competition features multiple categories in which you can compete. Submissions are judged by Glitterbels founder, Annabel Maginnis, and guest judges. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes are available in each category.
Where will the Nail Boss Awards be?
We had so much fun last year and wanted to bring it back with a bang at the DreamFest event in June 2024.
To make sure each contestant can enjoy the events amenities to the fullest, we have decided to host this year’s Nail Boss Awards online and announce the winners at the DreamFest event. The Glitterbels Dream Fest will be held on the 23rd of June, in Manchester’s Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM
What categories are in this year’s Nail Boss Awards 2024?
Festival Fun - Gel Design:
Let the fun begin and get ready to unleash your inner artist. The Glitterbels Nail Boss Competition are getting festival ready, and we need your help.
Let your imagination run wild and paint the ultimate Festival inspired nails. Your fabulous, festival nails will need to be presented on 5 long tips. The bolder the better, inspired by the summer sun, marvellous music, food, and fun with friends. Intricate patterns, colour combinations and maybe even a sprinkle of glitter and gems. The possibilities are endless.
Truly Glitterbels - Acrylic Design:
Calling all Glitterbels super fans. Get ready to showcase your skills in the ultimate Glitterbels design category. This acrylic design-based category will be themed around the Glitterbels brand, diving into a world of Pink, Gold, and lots of Glitter.
Think Unicorns, Flowers, and magic. Clouds, glimmering stars, and lots eye-catching nail art. We want you to create a mesmerising design capturing the essence of Glitterbels. Your work must be created on 5 long tops. The more magical the better and we encourage our competitors to let their creativity flow.
Dazzling marbles or ombre designs, intricate glitter placement and 3D aspects are just the tip of the iceberg with a Glitterbels Acrylic set… The sky is the limit.
Box of Dreams - Boxed Nail Art:
There is nothing better than a little box of pure creativity and if you’re ready to explore a world of dreamy nails and magic, this category is the choice for you.
We’re challenging you to create a captivating box nail art piece that not only showcases your technical skills, but also embodies the theme… Dreams. Let your imagination take flight and explore the ethereal and whimsical elements that dreams are made of. Mix your medias and create a mash up of Acrylic and Gel design to bring your vision to life.
Pink and Whites - The Timeless Classic:
Welcome to the Glitterbels Pink and White category, where we celebrate the timeless art of creating structurally perfect nails. We’re excited to see your skills shine as you present your expertise in this classic technique.
For this category, you will be tasked in creating a stunning Pink and White set on a model’s hands. These nails symbolise the pinnacle of skill and precision in the nail industry. We can’t wait to see your mastery in action. You can choose if you would like to use Acrylic or Gel when creating your set.
How long after choosing my category will I be contacted?
Once your application has been sent you will get some information on the rules, regulations and brief for your chosen category. Information should be sent over with in 48 hours. If you don’t receive an email from us, please get in contact with our customer service team, here.
What can I win?
3rd, 2nd and 1st place winners will be chosen from each category and announced on the main stage, in the afternoon of the DreamFest event on the 23rd of June.

Can I enter multiple categories?
Yes, you can compete in multiple categories, you will need to apply to these separately, via the application form, you can find the form here.
You can only enter once per category.
When will the winner be announced?
The winner will be announced at the Glitterbels Dream Fest Event on the 23rd of June 2024. This is why we ask that all competitors have a ticket to the event, so they don’t miss out on the award ceremony.
When do I need to submit my work?
Submissions for all categories should be sent in before or on the 17th of June 2024. Any submissions that are not sent in before this date will be missed and therefore disqualified.
