“You look like the fourth of July!” is one of our favourite quotes from Legally Blonde and we think Elle Woods would totally agree that this holiday always has space for a dash of pink.
This year is Glitterbels' first Independence Day at our warehouse over here in the States and we wanted to celebrate the land of the free and home of the brave…but with a Glitterbels twist. The incredible nail artist and Glitterbels content creator Stacey (@staceymachin) has created the perfect USA x Glitterbels crossover with this amazing American Flag-inspired set.
Step 1:
Once you have prepared the nail and laid your Builder-Bel foundation, Create a base for your design. Stacey chose our fabulous Hema-Free Gel Polish in the shade ‘Go Girl’.
Step 2:
Secondly, paint ¼ of the nail in a darker shade. For this, Stacey chose Hema-Free Gel Polish in the beautiful shade ‘Barbies Shoes’ and cured for 60 seconds.
Next, grab a fine liner and do a few stripes using our Unbelievabel Gel in the shade ‘White’, flash curing between stripes to avoid movement before curing fully for 60 seconds.
Step 3:
Going back in with the ‘White’ Unbelievabel Gel, create small stars over the darker pink area, flash curing between stars for 20 seconds before curing fully for 60 seconds.
Step 4:
For the rest of the hand, Stacey chose to mix and match designs with a combination of full colour and French.
For the pinkie finger, she chose a full nail using ‘Go Girl’. On the ring finger, a cute star French using ‘Barbies Bag’ and ‘White’. She then created a stripey French using ‘Go Girl’ and ‘White’ on the middle finger. Lastly, she painted the index finger in the shade ‘Barbies Bag’.
